WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL GAY COACHES CONFERENCE 2021?
Our conference is truly unique and unlike any other coaching conference you will experience anywhere in the world. Now up to our nonth edition, we welcome familiar faces who return each year, as well as new faces who always have a fantastic time, as you will see from videos by some of 2019's new attendees. After having to take the 2020 conference online due to COVID-19, we are very excited to return to Easton Mountain for our usual in person conference in 2021.
As an introduction, we've tried to summarize in a few sentences what the event is all about.
A PROFESSIONAL GATHERING FOR GAY MEN WHO WORK AS COACHES
Attendees of the International Gay Coaches Conference come from many different areas of the coaching industry. This includes the corporate world as well as private practice, covering multiple niches - some of which may be new to you. Our common thread is our "calling" and our commitment to excellence as coaches.
A GROUP OF LIKE MINDS
As gay men we share a certain common set of experiences, a wisdom of what it is to be "other" and a unique vantage point that is afforded by those traits. You'll find others that speak your language and get who you are.
SKILLS & TOOLS
The sessions offered at the International Gay Coaches Conference include workshops seen no where else, as well more familiar training presented here at a fraction of the cost you'd find it elsewhere. You'll come away with new perspectives and tools to use with your clients, plus ideas and skills to develop your coaching business. ICF credits are available for a number of the workshops presented.
CONNECTION TO YOUR TRIBE
Build business partnerships, make new friends or just share stories with like-minded coaches. It’s also a chance to build relationships, find support and bring sharper focus to your practice. Over the years many long lasting personal and professional relationships have been formed. Your people are here!
SWITCH OFF, RELAX & RENEW
The conference is held at Easton Retreat Center in upstate New York. It's an area rich in beauty and wisdom surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Hiking trails, time in nature, spirital connection, hot tub, wood-fired sauna and poolside time are all options.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
At either end of the busy workshop program, we offer a number of activities to enhance your enjoyment of the conference. These include morning yoga and meditation, wine and cheese hour, an evening of music with a guest artist and other events still to be confirmed.
BUILDING BRIDGES
The theme for the 2021 International Gay Coaches Conference is Building Bridges. This way inspired by the experience of attendees of the 2019 conference and what they took away from attending the event. The three strands that run through the 2021 event are:
