The International Gay Coaches Conference is organized by Gay Coaches Alliance, the leading global organization for GBTQ men who work as coaching.
Gay Coaches Alliance (GCA) was founded in 2003 and has grown to welcome men from around the world, creating a space of community and a place to help coaches develop personally, professionally and with their businesses. GCA is a not for profit organization that provides an opportunity for people with shared identities as coaches and GBTQ men to connect regularly online throughout the year and meet in person every May.
Every year since 2011 (except 2020 and 2021) GCA hosts the annual International Gay Coaches Conference at Easton Mountain, NY, a community, retreat center and community created by gay men as a gift to the world.
Since 2020, when Covid-19 prevented us meeting in person, GCA has also organized online conferences, enabling men from around the world to attend one of our events from the convenience of their own homes. Due to the success of the events hosted during the pandemic, we created the GCA Winter Virtual Conference, which is now an annual event taking place every January.
Each year our conferences are centered around a theme inspired by our community.
A Professional Gathering For Gay Men Who Work As Coaches
Attendees of the International Gay Coaches Conference come from many different areas of the coaching industry. This includes the corporate world as well as private practice, covering multiple niches - some of which may be new to you. Our common thread is our "calling" and our commitment to excellence as coaches.
A Group of Like Minds
As gay men we share a certain common set of experiences, a wisdom of what it is to be "other" and a unique vantage point that is afforded by those traits. You'll find others that speak your language and get who you are.
Skills & Tools
The sessions offered at the International Gay Coaches Conference include workshops seen no where else, as well more familiar training presented here at a fraction of the cost you'd find it elsewhere. You'll come away with new perspectives and tools to use with your clients, plus ideas and skills to develop your coaching business. ICF credits are available for a number of the workshops presented.
Connection To Your Tribe
Build business partnerships, make new friends or just share stories with like-minded coaches. It’s also a chance to build relationships, find support and bring sharper focus to your practice. Over the years many long lasting personal and professional relationships have been formed. Your people are here!
Switch Off, Relax & Renew
The conference is held at Easton Retreat Center in upstate New York. It's an area rich in beauty and wisdom surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Hiking trails, time in nature, spiritual connection, hot tub, wood-fired sauna and poolside time are all options.
Social Activities
At either end of the busy workshop program, we offer additional morning and evening programs to enhance your enjoyment of the conference. These include morning yoga and meditation, and evening programs featuring a cocktail reception and a range of other activities.
