Update: International Gay Coaches Conference 2020

Dear Conference Attendees

It is with sadness we announce that due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the International Gay Coaches Conference will not take place in 2020.

This follows meetings between the Organizing Committee and the Executive Board of Gay Coaches Alliance earlier this week.

We have explored options for moving the conference in the Fall, however this will not be possible due to lack of availability during this period at Easton Mountain.

Our plan is to carry forward the hard work that has already been put into the 2020 conference into the 2021 event, including the program of workshops and other activities that have already been announced.

At the moment, the team at Easton Mountain is exploring the way forward in relation to deposits paid for this year’s event. As you may be aware, Easton Mountain is a non-profit and will be hit extremely hard financially by this and other events not being able to go ahead as planned. We will be in touch regarding this as soon as details have been finalized.

In the meantime, I would like to let you know that we are currently exploring the feasibility of holding a small online conference over the planned days of this year’s event, featuring live webinars by some of the presenters scheduled to deliver sessions at the conference. Our motivation for doing this is to provide an opportunity for attendees and other GCA members to connect at what is an extremely difficult time for us all. There will be more details regarding this in the first week of April.

I would also like to let you know that next month’s GCA monthly call on Thursday 9th April at 4pm EST, which was scheduled to be a preview of the workshops, will now follow a theme of resilience and what we can do to look after ourselves, loved ones and our businesses. Again, more information about this will be available soon. We would like to invite people who have booked for the conference but who are not yet GCA members to attend. If you would like to do so, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I will forward information to you.

Finally, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we work through a challenging situation for the conference and find the best outcome we can for everyone due to attend, as well as our valued friends at Easton Mountain.

Please save any questions you may have until after the next email you will receive about this, which I hope will be in the next 48 hours.

Wishing you, your family and friends all the best.

Chris Cooper

Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee
