Many gay men carry deep-seated sexual shame—rooted in religion, culture, and early experiences—that quietly shapes how they show up in relationships, sex, and self-expression. For coaches, these unseen dynamics can make it difficult to help clients access authentic confidence and connection.
In this session, sexual empowerment coach Kevin Martin introduces the SHAMELESS Method, a trauma-informed coaching framework that guides gay men from repression to self-acceptance and embodied pride. Through discussion, guided reflection, and practical tools, participants will explore how to identify, name, and transform shame-based narratives within their clients. This session provides language, structure, and techniques for addressing sexual identity, desire, and emotional expression with professionalism, compassion, and courage—helping clients reclaim their wholeness and power.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize how sexual shame manifests in the lives and behaviors of gay male clients.
- Apply the core components of the SHAMELESS Method to support clients in moving from shame to self-acceptance.
- Facilitate conversations about sex, desire, and identity with greater confidence and sensitivity.
- Integrate mindfulness and body-based tools to create safety and authenticity in coaching sessions.
- Empower clients to build healthier, more fulfilling relationships with their sexuality and self-worth.
