Every coach knows the feeling: you’re doing everything “right,” asking the powerful questions, holding the space, and still your client remains stuck. What’s really going on?
In this hands-on, highly engaging session, we'll explore what blocks progress in coaching conversations and uncover why our usual tools sometimes fail. Through peer reflection, facilitated frameworks, and a collaborative toolkit-building process, we'll learn how to spot three distinct ways clients tend to over-rely on internal resources when they’re under stress.
You’ll discover how to:
- Identify subtle patterns behind common coaching challenges
- Use non-verbal cues and language patterns to recognize deeper client needs
- Access somatic, emotional, or cognitive interventions, depending on what the moment calls for
- Expand your range as a coach by becoming aware of your own default responses
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or newer to the field, this workshop will deepen your ability to navigate stuck moments with more attunement, nuance, and effectiveness. You’ll walk away with a practical set of tools and strategies, co-created with fellow gay coaches, that you can use immediately with your clients.
