The Power and Importance of Authenticity – Be You and Bring You.

with Scott Span

Have you ever had someone say to you, “Who do you think you are?” Have you ever asked yourself, “Who do I think I am and who do I want to be, and why?” Answering those questions is the first step in defining what authenticity means to you. How do you define who you are and what makes you - you? This workshop explores the topic of authenticity and provides insights on how we can identify what it means to us so we can be and bring our authentic selves to our personal and professional relationships.

We all have different views of what authenticity means and what being authentic looks and feels like. It’s not a one size fits all. Coaching requires being authentic. Being real. And that's often the reason our clients come to us. Our authenticity is influenced by our values, beliefs, and experiences. Defining and sharing these values, beliefs, and experiences helps us to live our authentic life and to learn how to best engage with and support one another and our clients.

  • Provide an overview of how authenticity is defined and what it looks like and feels like to be authentic
  • Give participants a process for defining what authenticity means to them
  • Identify challenges to being your authentic self and ways to overcome those
  • Understand how our values and beliefs influence our authenticity
  • Learn how safety, trust, and authenticity are interrelated and behaviors and actions to support development in those areas
